About the job:In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Manager of Coding Operations under the direction of the Director of Coding and Compliance, plans, organizes, staffs and directs the daily activities of the Physician Coding staff. Potential to be restructured into Regional Manager. This would entail manages, directs and provides leadership and strategic oversight of the Trinity Health Medial Group's (THMG) Regional Professional Coding team. Partners with auditing, billing, finance, and operations to promote coding accuracy and adherence to local ministry and regional Trinity practices and policies. Design and builds structure, workflows, and guidance for resolve of coding issues in charge router, charge review and claim edit WQs assigned to regional coding team to ensure coding compliance and minimize audit liability. Provides emphasis on adherence to CMS and other insurance carrier standards, optimizing revenues and the avoidance of monetary settlements from third party auditsWhat you'll do:Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the operations of the MCMG Coding workgroup responsible for evaluation & management, diagnostic, and procedural coding throughout MCMG to achieve an optimal level of performance with maximum efficiency and effectiveness.Manages coding specialists in a centralized and remote environment through established monitoring of productivity and quality.Fosters a team culture and cultivates enthusiasm for learning and continuous improvement in a constantly changing and competitive health care market.Manages associate performance including updating position descriptions, hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, associate development, annual education and termination in accordance with Human Resources policies and procedures.What we're looking for:Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Health Information Management or Business, Health Administration required.CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA certification(s) required.Certified E&M Coder (CEMC), and/or Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC) preferredMinimum of three years in a health care management role.
