Roles and Responsibilities Overview: The Manager of Finance and Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations and ensuring the operational efficiency of Breaktime. This role involves managing the organization's financial resources, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and leading the finance team to support organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Oversee budgeting processes, including forecasting revenue and expenses. Manage cash flow and accurately input financial data into accounting systems. Manage accounts payable processes, including vendor payments and reconciliation, as well as timely payment and processing of debts and obligations, including invoices and vendor payments. Manage accounts receivable processes, including customer billing and collections. Monitor financial performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement. Oversee the tracking of expenses and ensure accurate and timely billing and payment. Oversee the monthly gift reconciliation process to tie out donation totals between Salesforce and Quickbooks. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, as directed by the Senior Director of Finance & Operations. Identify trends and opportunities for cost savings or revenue growth. Prepare financial presentations for management and stakeholders, as requested. Operations Management: Continuously evaluate and optimize operational processes, systems, and technology to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of operational projects. Implement quality control measures to ensure products and services meet standards. Oversee daily operations to drive efficiency and scalability. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to the Finance and Office Coordinators. Delegate tasks effectively and ensure team members have the necessary resources and support. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews for team members. Reports to: Senior Director of Finance & Operations
Supervises: Up to three direct reports
Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field and 2 years experience in a Finance or Operations related role, or 4 years of experience in financial and operations management or a similar role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
