The Opportunity:
Mattel's Global Insights & Analytics Insights team is seeking a Shopper Analytics Manager who will be an outstanding addition to our Insights team, delivering insightful analyses to drive data-based decision making. In this role, you'll play a critical role in supporting Walmart, be the trusted insights expert, mine and draw actionable insights from Walmart's proprietary tool, Luminate, as well as other internal and syndicated data sources relating to consumer/shopper attitudes, behaviors, and retail purchasing trends whilst sharing findings to all levels and driving sales and category growth.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Become Mattel's Walmart Luminate data expert to identify, quantify, and communicate opportunities for toy category growth.
Build strong relationships with various groups like Walmart buyers, category management, sales, and marketing teams by acting as trusted counsel and maintaining data integrity.
You will leverage Walmart's Luminate data to:
Lead growth by understanding toy category, segment, and product performance, identify trends, and measure key performance indicators and progress against benchmarks.
Conduct market basket analysis to uncover associations and relationships between items, enabling category management to identify cross-selling opportunities, optimize product assortments, and enhance toy category performance.
Analyze promotional performance at the item level, assessing the effectiveness of different promotional activities, and recommending promotional strategies to maximize toy category sales and profitability.
Highlight contrasts and leverage similarities between online and in-store shopping patterns to make site merchandising recommendations.
Synthesize insights with other data sources to create actionable navigational and product placement recommendations to the Walmart buyer.
Build Tableau dashboards along with managing dashboard adoption that serve different stakeholder needs.
Lead related projects from discovery through completion.
Work with internal and external partners to develop operating guidelines.
Develop and design processes and functional best practices.
Internally at Mattel, carefully curate office interactions and data access to ensure complete confidentiality.

What We're Looking For:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in areas of Business, Mathematics, Data Science, or equivalent years of experience.
Past experience working with large datasets, drawing conclusions, and sharing findings with various levels of an organization, 8+ years.
Experience of enterprise software applications and services designed for retail and consumer goods industries (e.g., Walmart Luminate, Nielsen, IRI, NPD, Circana, Dunhumby, Numerator), 5+ years (preferred).
Strong Tableau visualization skills, 3+ years (preferred).
Experience and demonstrated results in supporting companies to become data and insights driven; demonstrated ability to drive action from insights within an organization.
Client Relationship & Communication:
Skilled at developing relationships with multiple levels within an organization to become a trusted business partner.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - both verbal and written, especially strong presentation skills, with multiple levels within an organization and externally with partners.
Collaborative and inclusive team player with the ability to network with a broad range of stakeholders.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
Drive continuous improvement to analyze Walmart Luminate data, visualize the data, and provide actionable insights to accelerate business performance and category growth.
Has strong analytical skills with the ability to creatively cut through large amounts of data to identify insights and what is most important to drive business.
Experience with actual results in supporting companies to become data and insights driven.
A high degree of autonomy, curiosity, and problem-solving capabilities.
Create compelling and sticky presentations that highlight data-driven insights and recommendations.
Demonstrate a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
Ability to efficiently handle multiple projects in a fast-paced regional environment, adapt to shifting priorities, and communicate complex issues in a clear manner.
The annual base salary range for this position is between $122,000 and $150,000.

**This range is indicative of projected hiring range; however, annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate's work location, skills, and experience.
