Description Jack's Small Engines, a subsidiary of Northern Tool + Equipment, is seeking a talented Managing Director to lead the strategic direction, deliver financial performance commitments, oversees, and is accountable for the management of all business operations at Jack's Small Engines. To integrate distribution operations and order fulfillment of related categories across specified Northern Tool + Equipment entities.
Key Responsibilities: Develops and implements the strategic direction for the Jack's Small Engines business unit and transitions the culture and resources to promote the strategic direction of the organization.Oversees daily business operations including procurement, distribution, customer service, information technology, retail, e-commerce, and employee engagement.Develops and implements strategy to deliver sustainable annual and long-term financial growth objectives.Partners with parent company business functions to identify synergies within web and email marketing, creative services, merchandising, information technology, finance, and human resources.Oversees supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics to ensure optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing costs.Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures to ensure accurate controls, effective operating methods and timely and user-friendly information to make effective business decisions and take action.Provides fiscal support for the department to ensure financial benchmarks are met or there is a proactive course correction.Selects, places, retains, and develops talent to result in a motivated, productive and energized workforce that achieves/exceeds quality and productivity goals now and in the future.Serves as a resource and collaborates with other departments/internal customers to ensure quality results and an aligned focus and support for each other and the strategic goals of organization.Establishes and sustains effective relationships with external vendors and contacts to result in favorable networks to support the current and future goals of the organization, benchmark practices/results against competition and maximize organizational effectiveness.What you will bring to the table: Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or other related field.At least 10 years of retail management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving financial targets.Strong people skills with the ability to relate to other departments' needs and concerns while still being able to accomplish the Company's goals.Proven competence as a leader, including the ability to manage more than one function.Strong organizational and analytical skills.Ability to relate well to others gains the respect of employees and to set a personal example of integrity and ethical practice.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel and others.About Us Jacks Small Engines is the e-commerce leader in small engine parts with more than 3 million parts, 400 vendors, and a best-in-class online parts shopping experience.
