Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with and maintain all GMP/PPE/Safety, HACCP & Sanitation guidelines and processes. Unload raw product, affixing assigned lot numbers to each bin or box that comes in. Record all items received in appropriate receiving form and upon completion, compare with bill of lading for accuracy. Record any discrepancies. Weigh all bins of lettuce from each load, recording weight on lettuce receiving form. Minimize downtime by providing production with materials needed for each day. Responsible for communicating with the gatekeeper and coordinator regarding inventory issues and ensuring efficient changeovers. Maintain proper rotation (FIFO). Be cross-trained and able to perform line feeding, rotating, and picking responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:GED/High School Diploma. 3-5 years of forklift experience (some positions require stand-up forklift experience). Ability to operate various types of warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, stand up and sit down forklifts and RF scanners. Ability to read, write and speak English; comprehension of basic math. Ability to multi-task and lift up to 50 lbs. Willingness and flexibility to work in a cold, wet, fast-paced, 24 hour plant environment. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to solve problems. Some experience with training others in a warehouse environment. Physical Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, this position entails use of ladders and catwalks to reach production equipment, regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to extreme cold for extended periods of time. The associate frequently works in high, precarious places. The associate is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
