Summary: Create mechanical systems that meet customer needs and project specifications.Develop affordable designs based on project goals.Maintain project records using SolidWorks PDM and IFS ERP systems.Generate bill of materials and drawings for manufacturing.Design, test, and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.Assist shop floor personnel and customers with technical issues.Provide technical support, including communication and occasional site visits.Work closely with customers, suppliers, and colleagues throughout a project.Investigate and address quality control reports.Collaborate with vendors to improve product quality and reduce costs.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.Minimum 2-3 years in structural, mechanical, and hydraulic machine design.Lean production concepts, FMEA, Lean practices, Six Sigma, Value Engineering.Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, deadline-oriented, teamwork, decision-making, SolidWorks proficiency, FEA (a plus), hydraulic system design/troubleshooting, heavy machinery design.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
