A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MED TECH
As a Med Tech, you play a vital role in our community. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose! You pass medications as prescribed by the physician. You provide direct care to residents, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures. Responsible for delivery of medications and care assistance with the activities of daily living for all residents. Provides care in a manner that meets or exceeds expectations.
As a caregiver Med Tech, you will administer prescribed medications to patients, verify their identity, and maintain medical records under the supervision of the RCC and RN. You will assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, cooking, incontinence care, cleaning, and medication administration, ensuring their dignity, privacy, and independence. Responsibilities include documenting services, reporting health concerns, maintaining confidentiality, and adhering to hygiene and appearance standards. Additionally, you will perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
You take great care to observe and report any change in condition, attitude, reaction, appetite, and behavior that you find when caring for your residents. You live up to the trust of those in your care by maintaining confidentiality and following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) requirements as well as upholding our facility policies and procedures. Your warm and friendly demeanor makes it easy for you to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and your colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MED TECH
••Current First Aid & CPR certification
•Certified Caregiver
•Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPPA regulations.
•Desire to work with the elderly.
Experience in geriatric nursing is preferred but not required. Are you trustworthy and respectful of others? Is being dependable, professional, and a team player at the heart of all you do? WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time healthcare position works 12-hours shift on a 7-7 schedule, with rotating weekends.
