**What Youll Do:**
* Assist all physicians and providers in all aspects of practice.
* Perform phlebotomy and/or EKGs as requested by physicians. (If you done have expertise here we will teach you!)
* Room patients utilizing best practices and maintain our patient flow
* Document patient information collected, care given, and treatment provided as well as charges in a clear and concise manner
* Assist with patient phone messages/tasks and documents. Conducts callbacks per provider direction.
* Anticipate patient care needs, consulting with providers as needed
* Help to set expectations and prepare patients for examinations and/or treatments.
* Adhere to all safety standards, including equipment maintenance, infection control, universal precautions and use of personal protective equipment as needed for all patient-care procedures.
* Organize, stock, and maintains work area, including exam rooms, procedure rooms, and patient care areas.
* Assist with procedures and administers medications within the MA scope of practice as overseen by providers.
* Verify the accurate completion of paperwork for referral to ancillary services.
* Maintain current knowledge of medications, waste disposal, and sterile techniques.
* Maintain CPR and other necessary certifications.
**What Youll Need:**
* High school diploma or GED
* Graduate of a State recognized vocational school or equivalent
* MA certificate and current CPR (BLS) certificates
* At least 2 years experience as a Medical Assistant
* Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Windows, and email
* General knowledge of healthcare insurance and terminology
* Superb patient care and service skills
* Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
