Seeking a Medical Assistant to support a dedicated team of health care providers in their Bay Area practice. Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant performs a variety of functions such as answering telephone calls, relaying messages, verifying patients' demographics and insurance information, and scheduling appointments. Additionally, the MA will perform back-office duties such as rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, and review patients' medical records to assist with patient inquiries.

Must know EPIC-very busy clinic.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED certificate.

Completed an accredited Medical Assistant program.

Requires a minimum 1 year of experience in an ambulatory care environment as a Medical Assistant.

Proficiency with an electronic medical records (EMR) system (preferably Epic).

Demonstrated ability to room patients, take and accurately document vital signs, administer injections, and maintain medical records.

Optimum team player must be able to multi-task and consistently practice positive patient relations and customer service.
