There would be a "Home Office" which would be where you would spend the majority of your time, and then a "Secondary Office" (second closest), where you would travel to 25% of the time. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician/Medical Assistant to join our team. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and ongoing education within the retina subspecialty of Ophthalmology. Job Responsibilities: Patient Evaluation: Initiate and document patient evaluations including chief complaint, history of present illness, review of systems, past surgeries, medications, and ocular findings, ensuring compliance with guidelines. Pre-Exam Testing: Perform tests such as visual acuity assessments, tonometry, pupillary dilation, and other patient services as directed by the physician. Procedure Setup: Prepare for procedures including intravitreal injections, managing drug preparation and documentation in EHR (lot number, expiration date, etc.). Instrument Management: Clean surgical instruments for sterile processing, conduct inventory of instrument supplies, and assist in maintenance of clinical exam equipment. Supply Management: Order clinical supplies as needed. Room Management: Open and close exam and injection rooms. Photography Assistance: Assist with patient photography if trained.
