Medical Assistant

Job Title: Medical Assistant - Primary Care Pay Rate: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team. This temp-to-hire position involves a range of clinical tasks, including blood draws, injections, and patient care, with a significant portion of the role dedicated to working with pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, demonstrate proficiency in essential medical procedures, and be comfortable administering care to children as young as 6 months old. Experience with Epic EMR is a significant plus.

Key Responsibilities: Blood Draws: Perform blood draws with accuracy and professionalism. Injections: Administer injections as needed, including to pediatric patients. Rooming: Room patients and prepare them for examination. Vitals: Measure and record vital signs. EKGs: Perform and assist with electrocardiograms (EKGs). Point of Care Testing: Conduct point of care testing as required. Throat Cultures: Collect throat cultures and process samples. Pediatric Care: Provide care to pediatric patients, including administering injections and performing routine procedures. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, with a solid work history and tenure with previous employers. Skills: Proficiency in blood draws, injections, EKGs, and point of care testing. Experience working with Epic EMR is highly desirable. Comfortable working with pediatric patients and performing procedures on children as young as 6 months old. Traits: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.
