Our Medical Assistants will partner with our physicians and other team members on clinical and administrative duties. A great candidate for this role is excited about creating a positive patient experience and ensuring smooth patient flow within the practice. Duties and Responsibilities Greet patients on the phone and in person Place patients in the exam rooms Take vital signs of patients Assist and setup up for examination, treatment, and procedures Keep accurate patient files Apply dressing, bandages, and splints as ordered by podiatrist Maintain a sanitized and safe working environment Maintain HIPAA A variety of other clinical and administrative duties as needed Education and Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent Current American Heart Association CPR Certification desirable MA Certification a plus, but not required EMR Experience is helpful, Athena experience is a plus Benefits of Working with Desert Foot & Ankle Work with an incredible team of staff and physicians! Job Requirements Candidate must posses X-Ray certificate valid in Arizona Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision Strong computer skills and use of Microsoft Office Knowledge of basic medical procedures such as dressing a wound Strong communication skills and ability to actively listen Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy Strong organizational and clerical skills to maintain patient files and perform office duties Customer services skills Knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures Spirit of teamwork and drive to help provide the highest standards of patient care
