The compensation range for this position is $26-28/hr depending on experience. In general, the Medical Assistant is responsible for:Performing routine patient data collection including -height, weight, vital signs, waist circumference, determination of BMI, and current medication listRooming patients, including endocrine/ultrasound patients to facilitate patient flowEnsuring examine rooms are ready to receive patients at the start of the day by turning on ultrasound, preparing exam table, and turning on all necessary equipment at the start of the dayAssisting with performing Phlebotomy on patients as neededMaintaining safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations when assisting providers (ex: maintains safety, medication, refrigerator, etc. logs)Protecting patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication storage procedures, and controlled substance regulationsReviewing daily schedules for all providers and patients in AW's Today's Schedule (TS)Inputting names on ultrasound for general and obstetric patients once patient is in the roomPreparing paperwork for HSG, pre-operative visits, New Patient Visits (NPV), etc. as neededSetting up and gathering equipment and supplies for various procedures to include but not limited to general ultrasound, saline sonogram, uterine sounding, IUI, etcWashing, packing and autoclaving instruments. High level disinfection for ultrasound probes according to the infection control policies and manufacturer's guidelinesEnsuring that end of the day tasks are done to include exam rooms cleaned (including counters and exam table), restocking supplies/equipment, and turning off all necessary equipment at the end of the day.Documenting patient care by charting accurately, completely, and in a timely manner in EMRAssisting providers with procedures, and other duties as neededSupporting the providers to resolve patient problems and needs by using multi-disciplinary team strategiesEstablishing a compassionate environment by providing excellent customer service, anticipating anxieties, answering questions, and providing supportOrdering of supplies on weekly or as needed basis, including outside lab kits.Tracking and allocating invoices and ensuring signature of Director of Operations in place before forwarding to Executive DirectorWhat You'll Bring:The skills and education we need are:High School DiplomaCompletion of an accredited program for medical assistants with certificate1 year medical office experience in a healthcare setting, Ob-Gyn preferred.CPR certification must be currentExcellent internal and external customer serviceAbility to work with diverse patient population.Ability to travel between local officesAble to work rotation of weekends and holidays as scheduledTeam playerExperience with computerized scheduling and electronic medical recordsPhlebotomy experience preferredPAY RANGE:$23-$36 per hourMore important than the best skills, however, is the right person.
