Position: Lab Assistant
Job Summary: The Lab Assistant is responsible for collecting urine samples, ensuring the integrity and security of each sample, and adhering to strict protocols and regulations. This position reports to the Director of Lab Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Completes point of care testing using CLIA waived devices.?
Responsible for specimen handling (accessioning, labeling and aliquoting), while maintaining specimen integrity and sample identification.?
Monitors lab orders in the client chart and performs testing according to the provider orders.
Follows appropriate infection prevention procedures, utilizing PPE, and follows restrictions in contaminated areas.?
