Compensation: $74,880 annually
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 8 weeks (FMLA coverage)

Shift Schedule:

Shift 1: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Shift 2: 6:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Monday to Friday (No weekends or holidays)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to provide temporary support on an 8-week contract to cover FMLA leave. In this role, you will assist with laboratory procedures and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth lab operations under the supervision of a lab technologist or supervisor.

This role has a strong focus on clerical and customer service responsibilities, including handling phone calls and communicating critical lab values. Experience with SunQuest and Epic is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform select lab procedures on blood and other specimens using manual techniques or laboratory instruments.
Assist with data entry and manage information in lab systems.
Perform phlebotomy as needed.
Handle customer service tasks, including critical value reporting via phone.
Ensure adherence to lab protocols and safety standards.

Required Education & Qualifications:

Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science required.
Certification through a recognized national agency (ASCP or NCA) required.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and patients.
Demonstrated technical skills and theoretical knowledge for lab procedures.
