Job Overview
As a Medical Office Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office of an ObGyn private practice. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities and Duties
Performs clinic front desk duties, including but not limited to:
Answering incoming telephone calls,
Obtaining and/or verifying patient information,
Patient check in/out,
Coordinate and facilitate accurate patient appointment.
Collect health insurance deductible
Manage petty cash
Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by the appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies. Follow HIPAA law requirements
Maintains stocks of office and medical supplies as necessary.
Performs data entry of lab studies, radiographic tests, and authorization request in compliance with physician/RN directives. Scan documents and medical information. Feel confortable with the use of patient electronic records
Complete and process insurance coverage documentation
Coordinate all office services, including but not limited to:
Maintenance
Security
Laundry
Medical equipment
Performs and other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
? Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary.
? Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures.
? Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
? Social perceptiveness and service oriented.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Spanish.
? Strong organizational and planning skills.
? Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
