NREL is seeking a highly talented and experienced staff scientist in the field of membrane science to develop and execute new research projects alongside an interdisciplinary team of researchers, post-docs, students, and technicians. The successful candidate would lead and manage DOE & non-DOE projects, write research proposals/grants, mentor post-docs, students, and technicians, and lab management. The position will have opportunity to interact with multiple stakeholders, publishing and presenting at conferences, interacting with industries, academics and other national labs, and will be an integral member of the membrane science group at NREL.Basic QualificationsRelevant Master's Degree . Or, relevant Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience . General knowledge and application of scientific technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Training in team, task or project leadership responsibilities. Intermediate abilities and knowledge of practices and techniques. Beginning experience in project management.
