EveryMind is hiring Full-time and Part-time Mental Health Therapiststo join our Youth and Family Services team.
This role supports school-based services at our school sites in the Prince Georges County Community. Therapist will work with middle and high school students and their families at the assigned school site(s). This therapist will join a community school team composed of a Therapeutic Mentor, Family Care Manager, and school partners. The therapist will provide individual and family clinical support services, therapeutic groups, and psychoeducational workshops and programs to students and families across the school community.
Schedule Structure:8:30a-4:30p M-F with some flexibility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides comprehensive clinical services to referred students, individuals, or families including assessment, individual, group, and family counseling, classroom observations, attendance at school/family meetings to provide input on school and education behavior plans, and when appropriate, mental health crisis intervention services.
2. Leads or co-leads office or school-based therapy or psycho-educational groups and community education by developing and implementing group curriculums and workshops based on community needs.
3. Conducts regular outreach to the general community and assigned school(s) regarding services. Acts as a consultant to school and community partners when requested, providing information and referral for appropriate services and during times of crisis as needed and appropriate.
4. Maintains compliance with the contract, grant, and position expectations, including:
Meeting productivity requirements
Maintaining minimum caseload requirements.
Timely submission of data through electronic health records system.
5. Compiles and maintains accurate documentation in individual client case files and group charts, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, consents, and summaries. Collects program evaluation data from participants in groups, workshops, and individual and family counseling.
6. (Level II - LC) Mentors assigned graduate/LM level therapists to support their on-going clinical skill development through informal case consultation and providing diagnostic and treatment plan reviews, feedback, and approval.
7. (Level II LC) Assists with training new staff and interns as needed by providing opportunities for shadowing and information sharing and developing and/or delivering training workshops based on area expertise.
8. Adheres to ethical principles for the practice of counseling as defined by the Social Work Code of Ethics and the code of ethics of the counselors licensure board.
9. Performs other ad-hoc projects and duties as assigned.
Education:
Minimum of a Masters degree in a mental health field such as psychology, counseling, or social work.
Meet all necessary state licensure requirements. Must have a Maryland Board approved license (LGPC, LMSW, LCPC-C, LCSW-C, LGMFT, LCMFT)
Experience:
A minimum of 1 year post licensure of relevant experience preferred. Bilingual Spanish required for some vacancies.
Skills:
Strong organizational, relationship building, community building, and record-keeping skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to actively listen. Keen attention to detail. Willingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and licensure requirements within the field. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Abilities:
Effectively interact and work collaboratively in a flexible work environment with a variety of constituents including family members or caretakers, interns, volunteers, paid staff, and community partners. Ability to express ideas with clarity, confidence and sensitivity.Must be able to maintain confidentiality involving clients in accordance with organizational and federal guidelines.

The employee must be available to perform the duties of the job mostly during core business hours (between 8:30-4;30pm, M-F), with flexibility to work evenings or weekends at least 25% of their time. Some flexibility with schedule may be available (evening and/or weekend hours). Employee will work mostly onsite but may work some hours remotely with the approval of supervisor. The employee must pass a criminal background check. Certain job functions may require employee to pass a child sexual abuse and other criminal activity as well as a credit check. All staff providing services to staff or clients, must be free of illegal drugs and abuse of alcohol, and must be fully able to perform all required duties at all times.
