Job Description Experience: 10 to 15 years with the following expertise:
Proficient and hands-on experience with Microfocus Enterprise Server on Windows, Microfocus Enterprise Developer on Windows, and Visual Studio.
Experience in rehosting Mainframe Applications from COBOL DB2 environment to Microfocus Enterprise Server and SQL Server.
Good understanding of Mainframe - COBOL, JCL, PROC, VSAM, and GDG to think through the solution on Microfocus and be able to review or advise the team.
Overall experience in rehosting legacy applications using Microfocus Enterprise Server with insight into areas such as Scheduler migration, Printer Migration, Data Migration, Security Rules Migration, and participation in Cut Over planning.
Aptitude and analytical skills along with being a good team player.
Ownership of areas such as Printer migration to understand the proposed solution, work with the Print Vendor chosen by the customer, evaluate changes to be made to migrated code or Enterprise Server settings, and drive the testing of the solution.
Ability to work with various teams and understand the connectivity for all interfaces and impact or change points required on Microfocus Server.
Familiarity with CICS Web Services on Mainframes and Microfocus Enterprise Server.
Knowledge of LRS VPSX, Page Center, and Info Print Manager, including printing reports on Microfocus Server.
Knowledge of ACF2 to Active Directory Migration.
Knowledge of CA7 to different schedules on Microfocus.
Knowledge of version control mechanisms – SVN, Team Forge, and/or similar products.
Windows scripting knowledge and REXX for ad-hoc one-time processes for Cut Over.
Qualifications Local candidates will be preferred first.
