We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Water Resources Engineer with transportation engineering project experience in the Fluvial and Coastal environment to join our Mt. Laurel, NJ, Office.

Responsibilities Perform and lead junior staff in hydrologic and hydraulic design calculations for stormwater management systems and/or bridge hydraulic and floodplain studies. Tasks include hydraulic modeling, using various industry-standard software, preparing sketches/plans, technical reports, and similar technical work as required Coordinate with the design team to achieve environmental compliance and assist in developing permit applications. Assist with planning, scheduling, and coordinating design work internally and with other disciplines Review plans, and details and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and cost estimates Support and coordinate with Highway, Structural, and Geotechnical Engineer design teams and perform other duties as assigned Requirements BS in Civil Engineering Must be a detailed-oriented, self-starter, comfortable working in a team environment and ability to work on multiple projects at once Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong Math Skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Experience with any of HEC-RAS, HY-8, SRH-2D, HydroCAD, Storm and Sanitary Analysis, MicroStation (including InRoads), AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred) Basic knowledge of GIS software (preferred) Project experience involving hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, floodplain studies, channel stability, hydraulic modeling, bridge scour, and environmental permitting Familiarity with FHWA, USACE, and AASHTO design guidance and New Jersey Administrative Code (NJAC 7:8, 7:7 and 7:13) (preferred) Licensed NJPE preferred, other jurisdictions of licensure are also acceptable Benefits
