The Buckeye Ranch is currently seeking a Milieu Specialist to join our Residential PRTF department. The PRTF Milieu Specialist assures that clients receive professional services effectively and efficiently and through a trauma informed lens. Position responsibilities include program development and implementation, coordination and management of service delivery (education, cafe, recreation, therapeutic passes, outings) assurance of program compliance with applicable standards and regulatory bodies, and assurance of program quality. Responsible for completion of proactive shift exchange occurring specifically first to second shift. Critical crisis de-escalation team member and responder.
Schedule: Full-time, Non-Exempt (10am-6pm, 5 Days/Week, One Weekend Shift Required)
Location:Grove City, OH
Pay: $21.05 - $26.32 hourly
What you'll do: Identifies indicators of age-appropriate development in all domains for children of varying ages. Applies
knowledge in all aspects of work: screening, care planning, client care, etc. Intervenes as needed to manage or assist in crisis situations Manage behavioral health crises through appropriate interventions including using the principles
'Regulate, Relate, Reason. Facilitates individual youth clients, individually and in group settings, with or without family members,
through active engagement utilizing strength-based language in interactions Communicates with youth in a nurturing and emotionally safe manner. Establishes rapport; maintain
effective relationships with diverse individuals; listens actively & effectively. Conveys information in a
non-judgmental, trauma-informed manner; recognizes and manages personal biases Helps with establishment of daily goals and follows up to assure attendance and participation in
scheduled activities Who you are:You have a high school diploma, or GED; bachelor's degree preferred. You have at least three years of mental health related experience. You must have an active driver's license and proof of car insurance.
