Human Resources Manager
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This includes, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in HR management and the ability to foster a positive work environment.
Monitors compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws as well as company policies, notifies managers of potential issues and proposes corrective action. Ensure the company is in compliance with all applicable laws.
Explains more complex aspects of company human resources programs such as salary and benefit administration process, employee development, employee relations and services processes, equal employment opportunity, and/or labor relations.
Essential Functions:
Manage HR related activities, including staffing compensation and employee relations daily.
Fills out forms and/or verifies information on forms submitted by employees for i9 verifications, ASUME, Department of Labor, among others, as needed.
Review and recommend policies and procedures updates in compliance with state and federal regulations as required.
Partner with management to communicate Human Resources procedures, policies, programs, and laws.
Serve as the primary contact with the company law attorney and government agencies as required.
Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment activities as required.
Responsible for the V&EG resources onboarding process as required.
Keep updated employee documentation as required.
Prepare verification of employment as required.
Prepare and negotiate with the resources salary adjustments as required.
Conduct investigations when employees' complaints or concerns are brought for.
Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employees' termination as required.
Maintain the resources HR files in compliance as required.
Prepares and preserves organizational charts and other human resources data.
Ensure that all company policies and procedures are up to date and in line with employment law and legislation as required.
Keep Employee Manual updated as required.
Support the Mind for the Future Program by participating in the candidate's interviews.
Provide guidance with HR topics to achieve commitment between the Minds for the Future participant and the company goals as required.
Ensure timely payment of employees and contractors in a biweekly basis.
Coordinate trainings for resources as required.
Maintains the Employee Handbooks and updates as necessary.
May research, analyze, and integrate data to provide information on human resources programs.
This position requires excellent judgment, sound decision-making, attention to detail, and maintaining confidentiality.
Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or applicable discipline and/or equivalent experience.
At least 10 years of relevant experience.
Excellent people skills and ability to work across organization, involving others in solving complex issues.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven effectiveness in small and large team environments.
Ability to manage projects and work as part of a project team.
Prior experience in a professional or office administrator role.
Sound analytical abilities and business sense.
Demonstrate high energy level and the drive required to proactively manage activities within a dynamic business environment.
Hands-on style and willingness to perform a range of detailed work.
Working knowledge of Personal Computers, Microsoft Office, and/or QuickBooks Enterprise or Professional, Versions 10 or above.
Fully bilingual: Spanish & English
Available to work extended hours, possibility of weekends and holidays.
