Who You Are
You are a blend of network engineering, storage solutions, and Windows administration expertise. You will possess a strong understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and security, coupled with hands-on experience in managing Windows Server environments and storage solutions. The ability to troubleshoot network issues, implement security measures, and work collaboratively with other teams is also crucial.
Responsibilities and Duties Strong organizational skills, especially around cable management and structured cabling.Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols and SD-WANAbility to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.Ability to deploy and manage multiple sites, environments and work to achieve 100% network redundancy. The ability to think through problems and visualize complex solutionsMaximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with other Data Systems teams.Design, manage, and maintain Active Directory infrastructure with a focus on scalability and securityDesign, manage, and maintain centralized configuration management of Windows-based fleetSupport software engineering CI/CD efforts for Windows-based applicationsBuild monitoring, supervision, and resiliency mechanisms to observe, react to, and maintain platform health, performance, and security.Develop and support processes to maintain uptime, SLAs, security, and availability of critical platform components.Knowledge and Skill Requirements 8+ years of experience with administering, monitoring, and securing firewalls, routers and switches. 8+ years of experience with administering, monitoring, and securing Windows Server environmentsHands on experience with equipment from Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, JuniperKnowledge of network operating systems including JUNOS, IOS, PanOS or EOSNetwork Automation with Ansible, or other is a plusAWS VPC, Transit Gateway and Direct ConnectExperience with Enterprise Storage Solutions (Netapp / Pure Storage)Experience working with MPLS, VPLS or SD-WANExperience with building and supporting multi-site Active Directory infrastructure (Sites, Users, DNS, Group Policy Objects)Experience with configuration management of Windows Server environmentsExperience with on-premise virtualization platforms and physical hardwareExperience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)Experience supporting in-house built Windows applications and frameworksExperience supporting Information Security policies, controls, and initiativesExperience with Operational Technology in a Manufacturing environment a plusPhysical Demands and Working Conditions Experience working in data centers and/or environmentally controlled server roomsAble to install and cable rack-mounted network systems
The starting base pay for this role is between $146,000 and $198,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
