The successful candidate will be responsible for providing fiduciary oversight, a strategic outlook, and supporting the CEO. This pivotal role involves understanding and strengthening the organization's mission, programs, and membership priorities, as well as offering strategic insights to enhance financial systems, talent management, and risk management. The Director will also be involved in the critical review and approval of the CEO's Annual Plan, budgets, audit reports, and tax filings, and will contribute to the CEO's annual performance evaluation.
Ideal candidates for the Director position should have extensive leadership experience in business, government, or nonprofit sectors, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Experience in servant leadership, particularly in a member-led organization, is highly valued, as are strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role requires integrity, wisdom, independent-mindedness, and a passion for addressing global issues. Additional experience in organizational development, human resources, and/or digital technology and social media is considered a plus. The Director will be expected to attend board and committee meetings, ensure effective teamwork, and uphold the values of a Board Member.
