JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Develops, evaluates, and implements manufacturing methods and process planning.
* Develops and implements new product manufacturing processes and production tooling.
* Designs, develops and test and/ or sources and cost-justifies various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommend manufacturing methods.
* Monitor and improve the efficiency, output and safety of manufacturing processes through
observations and measurements as well as by collecting and interpreting data from other technical and operating personnel.
* Performs products/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
* Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
* Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
* Maintain housekeeping at and around department.
* Apply 6s principles to all areas of the plant.
* Wear all personal protective equipment necessary to task and area.
* Follow all quality systems and operating procedures as applies to certifications, duties, and training matrix.
* Follow all company rules and regulations, including safety rules.
* Perform any other duties deemed necessary by management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* College degree in related field preferred.
* At least 3 years in NPDI engineering, preferably sheet metal fabrication of high nickel based alloys for the aerospace market, or related field with proven skills.
* Knowledge of Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
* Ability to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
* Excellent cognitive and analytical skills, and reading and writing skills.
* Strong computer background, organizational, planning, and typing skills.
* Effective communication skills and human relations skills.
* Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
* Ability to work well in a team environment.
