Description: Nuclear Medicine Tech PC - Bayridge - Part-Time - Day Shift
The Nuclear Medicine Technician position is an essential role at the Bay Ridge practice. The Nuclear Medicine Technician Prepares and administer diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals on patients in accordance with prescribed procedures and completes appropriate scans. You will prepare and administers diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals on patients in accordance with prescribed procedures; completes appropriate scans.
You will also prepare radiopharmaceuticals for tests using approved methods for handling, measurement, distribution, storage and disposal of all radioactive nuclides. Maintains records of receipt of all radio nuclides as required by regulatory offices of radiation control. Uses aseptic technique in preparing, distributing, and assaying of individual doses in the injection of radiopharmaceuticals given intravenously. Performs quality control analyses on prepared radiopharmaceuticals, quantitative analyses, documents results. Performs recommended standardization procedures and quality control analysis of each detecting instrument, and each procedure performed. Assists in tracking and retrieving medical records charged out of Medical Records Department. Pulls medical records as needed. Assists in tracking and retrieval of data from PACs or Division Optical archives for review by MD or requested hard copy.
This is a part-time day shift position 7:30am-3:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, located at our Bayridge location. Preferred Criteria: Graduate of approved Associate Degree program. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (CT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board CT (NMTCB (CT). Dual primary licensed technologist certified as Radiographer and Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Required Criteria: Licensed Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Department of Health.
