Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join their healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive pain management services to patients, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Obtain complete health histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations
Prescribe and manage pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for chronic and acute pain
Instruct and counsel patients regarding goals of pain management therapies, compliance with therapeutic regimens, medication side effects
Caring for patients with chronic pain
Prescribing medications appropriate to treatment plans as well as checking PMP for prescriber safety
Consulting with physicians to find the correct treatment plan for each patient

Qualifications:

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
Proficient in developing and implementing comprehensive pain management plans
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy and compassion
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environment
Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN)
Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or equivalent
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
Active DEA registration

Travel:

Traveling throughout Long Island, NYC, Rockland Co., and Orange Co. is required.
