DescriptionPosition Details: Occupational Therapist Assistant, Full-time, 40 hrs/week, Monday-FridayNon-Exempt, HourlyBenefited position, coverage eligibility will begin 1st of the month following date of hire. Position Summary: The Occupational therapy Assistant works directly with and under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist (OT) to treat patients who have difficulty performing daily living and work activities due to illnesses, injuries, and disabilities. The OT A helps clients perform exercises as specified in a treatment plan and teaches them to use equipment that may make some activities easier. RequirementsEducation:Associates degree from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy. Current license from the State of Oregon. Current valid Oregon driver's license required. Current CPR certification required.Experience: Desired, but not required.Job Knowledge: Must have a current knowledge of occupational therapy as related to physical disability and rehabilitation procedures, general medicine, surgical and mental health concepts. Understands the principles of team approach and recognizes capabilities and limitations of other team members. Must possess a positive attitude and utilize good communication skills. Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
