Operating Room Registered Nurse - Evening Shift

Job Summary The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for promoting and restoring patient's health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, and providing support to patients, visitors, and families. The nurse will assess, plan, promote, and evaluate quality patient care, as well as provide teaching to patients, families, and the public.
Core Job Responsibilities Identify patient care requirements and establish rapport with patients and families Create a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support Promote patient independence by establishing care goals and providing education Assure quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards Ensure operation of equipment and maintain a safe and clean working environment Education/Experience Requirements Required: Graduate of an accredited associate degree in nursing Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing and one or more years of related experience Licensure/Certification Requirements Required: Current New York State licensure as a Registered Nurse Preferred: Basic Life Support Certification Job Details Department: Operating Room
