Primary Job Responsibilities: Drive & champion continuous improvement culture & results for Operational Excellence through leadership and coaching of improvement activities on site.Use the full breadth of lean, six sigma and Continuous Improvement tools, techniques, and methods to enable manufacturing sites to identify, improve and resolve issues in a sustainable way.Work in conjunction with the Lean Management System in the manufacturing sites to enable site and value stream improvements in Safety, Quality, Service, Cost and Engagement.Lead multiple, complex CI projects including process improvement through the disciplined use of continuous improvement measurements, accountability, analysis, and discussion of process alternatives to arrive at best practices to accomplish business objectives.Lead or facilitate Kaizen events on specific problems (narrow and large scope, cross functional and functional, operations and business).Create and share standards, best practices and training materials as required.Make effective presentations to enable clear communication and organization understanding.Maintain a high level of expertise in continuous improvement and change management tools and techniques through self-learning, practice and coaching.Mentoring green belts in acquiring skills that create significant positive-financial impact and customer benefits on any complex change projectMember of the Continuous Improvement (CI) team – works with global stakeholders to identify and prioritise project opportunities for our CI community, educate & mentor Green Belts, coordinate educational activities for the CI community.Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts to bring significant change that supports business priorities.Ensures that policies and procedures align with corporate vision.Models demonstrated competencies in customer focus (internal and external), critical thinking and creative problem solving, teamwork and collaboration, planning and organizing, analytical thinking, empathy, integrity, continuous learning, and effective communication skill. Key Working Relationships: This role must maintain strong working relationships cross-functionally with business leaders, employees, and external partners across the global enterprise. This position reports to the Director Continuous Improvement.
Skills & Experience: Six Sigma, Black Belt and / or Lean Manufacturing certification.Must be from a pharmaceutical or medical device background. Extensive experience in the application of lean and / or six sigma tools.Proven track record of executed six sigma / business improvement / lean projects, and Kaizen events.Ability to work well within the team with flexibility to switch between roles, leader, facilitator, member, as required.Excellent change management skills and a desire to help individuals, teams and sites achieve and improve.Work domestically and at times work outside of the core hours to support others working in other geographical time zones.Demonstrated influencing skills and business acumen.Extensive project management and organizational skills to interface with internal customers, management, and outside vendors on multiple activities concurrently Preferred Skills & Experience: Degree in an appropriate discipline (Scientific, Engineering, Business) is preferred
