Job Responsibilities:
To operate and monitor the equipment under the responsibility of the Utilities area, such as boilers, cooling towers, water chillers, glycol chillers, plant air compressors, emergency generators, fermentation air compressors, breathing air system, fresh ACN system, waste ACN system, nitrogen system, air handlers, re-heat package, lift stations, vacuum system, urea receiving system, urea evaporator system, urea waste system, DI-Urea generation system, PWEC generation system, WWTP system, PSM process equipment and systems. Keep the supervisor (including the Shift Supervisor, Manager or Coordinator) informed of any anomaly or failure found in area equipment.
Education and Experience:
Associate or bachelor's degree in science or engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical) or other related technical field. Technical degrees such as engineering, instrumentation, science, or applied mechanics can be considered.
Wastewater treatment plant and/or potable water license is highly desirable.
Experience in Utilities processes in a pharmaceutical operations in general is preferred.
Additional Skills and Preferences:
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Teamwork oriented, good interpersonal and customer service skills
Candidate must have a strong compliance mindset and sound judgment
Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under supervision
Available to support a 7/24 operation in rotating shifts
