Ophthalmic/ Medical Assistant

Medix is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician/Medical Assistant to support a speciality Ophthalmology practice in Bethel Park. PA. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow and gain specialized training in the industry!

Job Responsibilities: Initiate patient evaluation, documenting the chief complaints, patient history, review symptoms, and documentating medical history Perform pre-exam testing and all other patient services as requested by the physician. Setup for procedures including intravitreal injections which requires pulling drug, documenting
in E.H.R. lot number, expiration date and other pertinent drug data. Clean surgical instruments in preparation for sterile processing. Conduct inventory of instrument supply as directed. Assist with maintenance of clinical exam equipment as directed. Open and close exam and injection rooms Job Requirements: Outstanding interpersonal skills as well as neat and professional appearance are mandatory. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent typing skills and previous electronic health record experience such as EPIC, Nextgen, etc. Previous medical office clinical experience and previous ophthalmology experience preferred but not required Schedule:

Monday - Friday

8am-5pm
