Responsibilities:
The Ophthalmic Technician Supervisor is a working supervisor who supervises the day-to-day clinical flow of skilled clinical staff.
Provides support in delivering patient care needs by acting as an ophthalmic technician, coordinating resources and clinic schedules, and providing support for onboarding and continuous education to staff. With delegated authority, interview and recommend selection of applications, conduct training, assign and schedule work, act upon leave requests, conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary actions. Qualifications: High school diploma A minimum of 2 years experience as an ophthalmic technician; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have JCAHPO certification (COA, COT, or COMT). Working knowledge of EMR systems, Word and Excel. Ability to serve as liaison between management and staff. Skilled in problem solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations while providing exceptional customer service. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload.
Pay Range:
USD $22.80 - USD $34.21 /Hr.
