We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle WAM Application Support Specialist to join our team, supporting a major utility services organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the lifecycle of critical water and wastewater assets through Oracle Work and Asset Management (WAM) solutions. As a key technical resource, you will provide expertise in configurations, customizations, process improvements, and troubleshooting for an on-premises installation. This position offers a hybrid work environment, combining in-office and telework flexibility, with a focus on maintaining system stability and delivering tailored solutions to meet client-specific requirements.
Location: Laurel, MD
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST (Monday – Friday) with one-hour lunch. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with three days in-office and two days telework.
Key Responsibilities:.
Support implementation and maintenance of Oracle WAM.2. Collaborate with key stakeholders to elicit requirements and processes.
3. Design software solutions that adhere to programming best practices.
4. Develop customized database programs to enhance COTS products.
5. Create and maintain integrations to external applications.
6. Perform unit testing to validate solutions; assist with user acceptance testing.
7. Follow change management procedures to migrate new solutions to Production.
8. Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving identified issues.
9. Follow service level agreement (SLA) metrics when resolving production issues.
10. Collaborate with IT team to deliver secure solutions on schedule and on budget.
11. Mitigate security vulnerabilities by working with IT Security and COTS vendor.
12. Work with COTS vendor to support, maintain, and upgrade applications.
13. Configure maintenance objects and business objects in Oracle WAM.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. A master's degree is preferred. A master's degree in one of the above disciplines equals one year specialized and two years' general experience.General Experience: At least seven (7) years of experience in one or more functional areas related to the subject matter specialty.Specialized Experience: At least five (5) years of hands on experience in Oracle WAM.Skillset: SQL programming languages, Oracle SQL Developer or TOAD, Oracle WAM, Oracle Utilities Application Framework, SharePoint, ServiceNow, Office products (Word, Excel).
