Job Purpose: To provide direct service to children, adolescents, adults and families through individual, group and family counseling to meet individual treatment needs. Provide counseling services to ensure that established goals are being addressed and documented in accordance with all rules, policies and procedures in various systems.
***Counseling -*** Schedule counseling appointments with each client, Ensure counseling sessions are individualized to meet the treatment goals and interventions suggested by the DSM-V for the specific diagnosis of each client, Responsible for ongoing research in regard to learning therapeutic interventions relevant to the populations served, Preparation for counseling sessions to ensure productivity towards achieving the clients goals during sessions and referral, as necessary, for linkage to additional services outside of agency
***Treatment Planning -*** Responsible for creation of Individual Treatment Plan Attend all clinical and case management staffings as necessary**,** On-going treatment planning for the client, Consult with Program Supervisor and Treatment Team when needed, Work with other therapists to provide clinical knowledge, strategies and dynamics for optimal effectiveness
***Paperwork -*** Ensure that Progress Notes, Individual Treatment Plans, Mental Health Assessments, quarterly reports and any other documentation required by the agency is completed
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field plus experience
