American Medical Associates - A beautiful, chemical dependency rehabilitation facility located in Brooklyn, NY is currently seeking a strong Overnight RN Supervisor. Salary: $100K to $115K - Based On Experience Responsibilities: Patient Care Collaborates with the nursing staff to provide patient care in accordance with the Office of Professions Triage patient needs as per schedule/sick calls. Assesses changing needs of the patients during the shift and adjusts in assignments as appropriate. Performs admissions after hours while collaborating with physicians. Screens patients returning to the facility after emergency room visits. Nursing Process/Documentation Implements and assists staff to understand the standards relative to documentation of the patients. Develops and assists staff in identifying and addressing patients problems by formulating goal-oriented plan of care and evaluating care rendered. Implements and assists staff in patient teaching programs based on specific patient needs. Assists in reviewing staff members achievement of documentation standards and provides feedback. Quality Assurance Is effective in maintaining and assuring the quality of services provided to all patients and co-workers. Participates in the standard development and implementation for the Division of Nursing. Maintains patient care standards in accordance with the regulations of governmental and standardizing agencies. Patient Safety Administers and documents medication safely and accurately according to the policies and procedures set by compliance. Is aware of the legal issues as they relate to the delivery of nursing care. Supervises and monitors the safe and accurate utilization of equipment. Leadership Ensures that all patients, visitors, and guests, as well as co-workers, receive personalized, prompt attention and are treated with receptiveness, dignity and respect, no matter how limited the contact. Communicates with the Director of Nursing and other management staff issues related to patient care and safety. Reports any changes in patients conditions to the appropriate disciplines and documents these significant changes. Staffing Completes and adjusts daily assignments in accordance with staff skills, preparation and patient acuity, and divisional standards. Overnight RN Supervisor Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN degree or minimum 3 years in a supervisory role preferred Current Registered Nurse registration with the New York State. SUD/ Mental Health background preferred.
