Qualifications: Education Bachelor's Degree in Food & Nutrition. (Required) and Master's Degree or specialty certification. (Required) Work Experience 5+ years experience working as a clinical dietitian working in the environment of an acute care hospital. (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Completion of an ACEND accredited Supervised Practice Program. (Required proficiency) Must remain in good standing with both accrediting boards. (Required proficiency) This position possesses advanced skills to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and apply the nutrition care process to patient care. (Required proficiency) Demonstrates advanced skills to evaluate and recommend nutrition needs based on the specific combined objective/subjective information for a complex clinical nutrition assessment. (Required proficiency) High level of analytical ability to incorporate into practicing advance clinical and theoretical concepts. (Required proficiency) Strong communication/ interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients, families, physicians and other health care professionals to enhance collaboration and problem solving. (Required proficiency) Demonstrates ability to lead projects for department. (Required proficiency) Provides lectures to professional staff. (Required proficiency) Mentor to interns, students, staff, peers and colleagues. (Required proficiency) Ability to implement a performance improvement project. (Required proficiency) Licenses and Certifications Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the State of Ohio Upon Hire (Required) Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration Upon Hire (Required) Specialty certification, such as, certification in nutrition support, diabetes, oncology, renal, sports nutrition, pediatrics or geriatric (Required) Maintains the required continuing education credits for Registration and License.
