Summary: Under the direction of the Program and Service Manager, the Front Desk Manager is responsible for providing exceptional service to all customers, members, guests, staff, whether by phone or in person, and upholding the facilitiess operating standards in a professional manner at all times.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Must be able to work evenings and weekends.Provide excellent customer service to all customers and staff; maintain a positive attitude.Be knowledgeable to answer questions regarding mini golf course details. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and venues.Plan event details and aspects, including min golf outings and special events; plan for potential scenarios that could impact the event.Manage events and address potential problems that may arise.Maintain a working knowledge of the needs of a wide variety of events.Procure new clients for outings and events.Create reliable financial reports and collect payments on time.Remain under budget with all costs.Administer POS system, including sales, inventory and rounds reports. Maintain accurate and up to date information.Perform cash handling and maintain accurate financial records.Complete daily sales reports and bank deposits.Be familiar with other PDHP programs and services. Ability to accept registration in PDHP software.Responsible to the Program and Service Manager for assisting with the training and scheduling of the front desk staff.Ability to assign/communicate weekly schedules and club activities to all front desk staff.Receive and route incoming calls.Perform routine office support functions and maintain appearance and cleanliness of facility.Assist with security of building.Assist with operations at Highland Park Golf Learning Center / Highland Park Fieldhouse during offseason, if needed.Perform other Park District related duties as assigned, including special projects. Supervisory Responsibilities: Assists the Program and Service Manager by indirectly supervising seasonal employees, which are needed to operate the golf clubhouse. The Clubhouse Coordinator may be asked to assist the Program and Service Manager with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; providing performance feedback; addressing complaints and resolving problems in accordance with District policy and applicable laws.
Qualifications Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of relevant experience at a golf course/club. Experience with event planning and coordination is preferred. Must have knowledge and understanding of the game of golf. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills required. Must possess a willingness and ability to exhibit a professional and polite appearance at all times. Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks required.

Wage Range: $18.50 - $22.00 / DOQ
