Job Overview: Assists pathologists and residents in performing all post mortem examinations in hospital morgue. Maintains morgue rooms and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Receives, stores, maintains and delivers all remains in the prescribed manner to funeral directors. Includes surgical pathology specimen grossing up to level of expertise. Performs additional general duties in support of routine laboratory and pathology services. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma Preferred: Baccalaureate degrees Completion of a Pathology Assistant program with certification Scheduling Requirements: Per Diem Day Shift Variable Hours Weekends Essential Functions: Surgical pathology specimen grossing up to level of expertise.
