Must Haves:
High School Diploma
Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a CALL CENTER, customer service, and Healthcare department/ environment.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills.

Preferred:
Vocational certificates in healthcare preferred: appoint scheduling, registration, insurance verification, medical assistant.
ssociate or bachelor's degree in healthcare, business or operations field strongly preferred.

Description:
Serves as primary point of contact for access to USC academic medical centers and USC Health Sciences Campus. Answers, screens and directs incoming and outgoing telephone calls, electronic messages and other web-based communications using a call management system. Responds to basic inquires and refers other inquires to appropriate medical personnel. Contacts and distributes messages to medical personnel using a variety of electronic methods including text, voice and email systems. The Patient Access Liaison II will also be responsible to schedule and confirm initial and follow-up medical appointments, registers patients, including verifying insurance coverage to advise patient of any estimated financial responsibility. The Patient Access Liaison II will also perform data entry, ensure data integrity, and reconcile as neede

Medical Requirements:
Immunizations:
•MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella): Proof of immunity or series of 2 shots
•Varicella (Chickenpox): Proof of immunity or series of 2 shots
•Hepatitis B: Proof of immunity or series of 3 shots; worker can decline with a declination form on file
TB Test:
•Annual test required; results must be read within 24 to 48 hours
•Positive TB history requires chest x-ray results
Drug Screen:
•Must be taken within 72 hours or the offer is rescinded.
•10-panel drug test including:

o Benzodiazepines
o Cocaine metabolite
o Opiates (Codeine, Morphine)
o Hydrocodone

Influenza Vaccination:
•Required for the current flu season (11/1 through 5/30)
•Workers starting after May 1st should wait until after September 1st for the next flu shot season
