Payroll Tax Proccesor

The Payroll Tax Processor is primarily responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all payroll tax functions. The Payroll Tax Processor works in tandem with the Payroll Supervisor and requires exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will respond to frequent and urgent requests for information about payroll tax, annual filings, w-2, report generation, general ledger, and other general tax policy matters. This position is accounting focused but des not require a CPA. Benefits Included Health insurance, Paid time off, and Retirement plan. This is a Full-time position.

Responsibilities: Checking timesheets for accuracy Entering data into databases and spreadsheets Working with a custom tax program Periodic tax filings aside from quarterly and annul filings Responding to tax notices and inquiries as they come in W-2 tax processing Troubleshoot problems with tax deductions etc. by researching and respond accordingly with related staff and managers. Runs and prepares reports on a regular basis for payroll. Demonstrated ability to process new tax changes, deductions and other duties associated with payroll tax processing. Qualifications: CPA is a plus but not necessary for this position Strong PC skills General math skills Detail-oriented Strong work ethic and team player Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Experience in Master Tax is a plus Location: Brooklyn
