POSITION SUMMARY:
Process and maintain tax filings for clients. Use technology to optimize efficiency and benefit for clients and the company. Organize client records and ensure accuracy of payroll and ACA filings. Develop procedures for consistent team and management direction.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO:
Maintain knowledge of tax code changes, accounting procedures, and theory to properly evaluate financial information.
Maintain records for each client, including contacts, telephone numbers, and actions taken.
Verify tax forms for correct names, taxpayer identification numbers, computations, and amounts compared to supporting documentation.
Impose payment deadlines on delinquent taxpayers and monitor payments to ensure deadlines are met.
Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems using current computer technology.
Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.
Compile data for ACA filings and file accordingly.
Respond to client inquiries regarding tax matters and work closely with Benefits and Human Resources to ensure accurate benefit deductions and record-keeping.
Monitor all accounts for accuracy.
Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Ensure accurate taxation and garnishment application.
Participate in end-of-month closing and audits.
Conduct year-end reporting for W-2s, etc.
Maintain constant communication with teammates and management.
Communicate with HR teams to update accounts as needed.
Remain in compliance with all legal and institutional requirements.
Demonstrate respect for client privacy.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
Recent college graduates preferred (Finance or Business Administration major preferred)
Excellent computer skills (Advanced Excel skills )
Attention to detail and ability to prioritize task
Complex problem solving skills
The expected hourly rate for this position is $17.27 to $31.25 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
