Job Overview:
Shriners Children's is the premier pediatric burn, orthopaedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and pediatric subspecialties medical center. We have an opportunity for a 32 hours/week, Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Operating Room. Shriners Childrens Boston is a pediatric specialty hospital, research and teaching center. It is the only burn center verified by the American Burn Association in New England and New York thats just for kids. The multidisciplinary staff at the Shriners Childrens Boston is committed to a family-centered approach to care that meets the childs needs beyond just the physical injury, and supports the entire family through the recovery process. We have served patients from over 70 countries through our partnerships around the United States and cross the globe. Our specialties include: Burn care Plastic, reconstructive and laser surgery Cleft lip and palate treatment Care of complex wounds and skin conditions *Press Ganey Guardian Award of Excellence-Patient Experience, Medical Practice (2022,2023)
Responsibilities:
The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Our OR team enjoys a quality work-life balance with minimal weekend and holiday call.
Qualifications:
Education BSN Certification/Licensure RN in state of practice Skills Previous surgical experience preferred. Ortho experience preferred. Shriners Childrens is an EOE/Drug-Free, Smoke-Free Workplace.
