Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (No Clincial Fellows)

Ditmas Children's Nursing & Rehab Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist Ditmas Children's Nursing & Rehab is looking for a kind and compassionate pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our amazing rehabilitation team. This is a great and unique opportunity to work with a dynamic interdisciplinary healthcare team to treat children of varying diagnoses in a pediatric nursing facility. The individual should have a positive attitude, good energy, and a passion to serve the pediatric population with healthcare needs in the Brooklyn and New York areas. Job Description: Evaluates speech, language, and swallowing needs in children of all ages and diagnoses. Creates and carries out treatment plans designed to improve the child's communication and feeding skills. Evaluates and recommends a safe diet level for children with feeding difficulties. Assesses for and recommends alternative communication devices. Collaborates with an interprofessional team for optimal outcomes. Educates staff and family on therapy diagnoses, goals, and progress. Qualifications & Job Requirements: Master's Degree from an accredited university in Speech-Language Pathology Valid New York State SLP License Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) BLS Certified Previous dysphagia and AAC experience. No Clinical Fellows at this time Compensation: Competitive compensation ranging from $45 to $55 per hour.
