Pharmacist

This is a licensed staff pharmacist position. The pharmacist is critical to the UHC. The pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications to the students, faculty, staff, and affiliates of the University of Maryland in accordance with local, state, and federal pharmacy laws. This includes all aspects of prescription workflow from data entry, filling, final verification, checking out prescriptions, and OTC items. All prescriptions are expected to be filled with pharmaceutical elegance. This means having verbs and proper grammar in directions and placing labels neatly on the product. The pharmacist will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, and inventory of medications and other pharmacy supplies. The pharmacist is also expected to work with other departments to meet the needs of the University Health Center. The pharmacist may be assigned other duties as needed by the pharmacy manager. The pharmacist will report directly to the pharmacy manager.
This is a full-time, exempt salaried position.
