About the job:Pharmacy Manager Home Infusion Services serves as the first level manager to plan, organize, staff, direct and ensure the provision of pharmaceutical care in collaboration with all members of the healthcare teamWhat we are looking for:Education: Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy required. Master of Science degree in Hospital Pharmacy or other advanced professional or management degree is preferred.•Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in the State of Ohio.•Experience: Completion of a Pharmacy Residency training program or two years of practical, hands-on experience as a pharmacist in an organized health system pharmacy operation is required. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory and administrative experience in a Pharmacy Services Department of comparable size and scope is preferred.•Effective Communication Skills•Abilities to assure quality, safety, productivity and operational costs.What you will do:Manages performance: Provides coaching, direction, support and supervision for pharmacists, technical, and support staff. Effectively recruits, provides developmental opportunities, counsels, retains, and evaluates performance of pharmacy staff. Applies and supports the fair and consistent execution of Human Resources policies.•Planning: Collaborates with Pharmacy staff, other healthcare team members and within the Organization to develop goals and objectives, performance targets and strategic and business plans as appropriate for areas of responsibility. Develops and/or implements new program and services in response to identified needs.•Financial Performance: Ensures financial performance through the management of budgeted resources for areas of responsibility.•Quality and Safety: Directs quality and safety monitoring for designated areas, focusing on optimal patient outcomes, risk management, regulatory compliance.•Clinical Excellence: Collaborate to develop and monitor clinical strategies to insure appropriate and responsible use of pharmaceutical agents and related products to achieve optimal patient outcomes.•Communication: Develops and uses effective communication channels to ensure optimal functioning of areas of responsibility. Collaborates effectively with appropriate internal andexternal stakeholders.May be required to serve as Responsible Pharmacist for hospital pharmacy TDDD license.•When also serving as the designated Responsible Person for Institutional Pharmacy, in accordance with the Ohio Code 4729-17-02, the incumbent shall:•Be responsible for the practice of pharmacy performed within the institution•Work with the Leadership team to develop, implement, supervise and coordinate all services provided by the pharmacy•In conjunction with the appropriate interdisciplinary committees, be responsible for the development of written policies and procedures which are consistent with chapter 4729-17-02 and other applicable federal and state laws governing the legal distribution of drugs, ensure adherence to these policies and procedures in order to provide for the safe and efficient distribution of drugs in all areas of the institution, and make available a current copy of those written policies and procedures for inspection and/ or copying by an employee of the state board of pharmacy•Be responsible for the security and control of all drugs within the institution•Be responsible for the maintenance of all records, required by state or federal law to be kept at the licensed location, of the acquisition, use, distribution and disposition of all drugs.•When the responsible person is transferred from one person to another, ensure that the new person's job description is also updated to contain the above duties and that this transfer is done in accordance with rule 4729-5-11 of the Ohio Administrative code.•Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.•All other duties as assigned.•Meets population specific and all other competencies according to department requirements.•Promotes a Culture of Safety by adhering to policy, procedures and plans that are in place to prevent workplace injury, violence or adverse outcome to associates and patients.•Relationship-based Care: Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience at Mount Carmel following the principles of our interdisciplinary care delivery system.Our Commitment to Diversity and InclusionTrinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
