Job Description

** Schedule**

PRN, Sun-Sat, Day, evening shift, rotating weekends and holidays. May work other shifts, whenever needed. _ Overview_

Under moderate supervision, performs venipuncture and capillary puncture to obtain blood samples for various laboratory tests at the Medical Center and off-site facilities. Patients served include Neonate thru Adult-Geriatric.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, the candidate must have a

High school diploma or equivalent; Previous phlebotomy experience preferred. The ability to ensure the confidentiality and rights of all patient and departmental documents is required. Current CPR certification required. Certification from a nationally recognized Phlebotomy Association such as ASPT or ASCP; or certification from an approved phlebotomy collegiate program preferred. Current drivers license with a good driving record required or ability to have own transportation to off-site facilities. Additional Information
