Physical Therapist

Physical Therapist Position Overview: Seeking an experienced Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy to special needs children ages 2 years, 9 months to 5 years at the Joan Fenichel Therapeutic Nursery. The Physical Therapist will evaluate and provide therapy services to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities; keep up-to-date records, conduct assessments as needed and participate in team meetings and parent training. Responsibilities and Duties, included but not limited to: Administer services as per IEP mandates; maintain proper documentation of evaluation, treatment sessions and progress of children; screen and evaluate children to determine the need for services & make appropriate recommendations; prepares and update IEP's. Requirements: Master's degree in Physical Therapy; must have 2- 3 years' experience with children (pediatrics) with developmental disabilities preferred; NYS Licensed to practice. Schedule: Full-time annual salary: $72,000 - $80,000; (5 days/week); 8:30 am – 3:30 pm Part-time hourly rate: starting at $70.00 hour; 9 am – 3:00 pm The League Education and Treatment Center is a non-profit agency dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with psychiatric and developmental disabilities.
