The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is seeking candidates interested in a full-time hematopathology position. This position will be based at the Royal Oak campus. It is a full-service practice with flow cytometry, cytogenetics and molecular laboratories on site. Board certification from the American Board of Pathology (ABP) in hematopathology and AP/CP, as well as 3-5 years of hematopathology experience is preferred. Responsibilities include bone marrow, peripheral blood, lymph node, flow cytometry and coagulation sign out.
The department performs on an annual basis approximately 2,000 bone marrow specimens, 45,000 surgical accessions, 70,000 PAP smear and 8,000 non-gyn cytology/FNA accessions. Beaumont Health is aligned with Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. There is a pathology residency with three positions per year, and fellowships in cytopathology, hematopathology, clinical chemistry and blood banking.
You will be an employed physician, with knowledgeable practice management professionals assisting in day-to-day operations and take advantage of the resources and referral base of the larger Corewell Health system!
