POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, College of Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Tracking Code24500581820716Job DescriptionThe Morphable Biorobotics Lab (https://sites.bu.edu/ranzani-lab/) at Boston University is seeking a highly motivated postdoc to join our teams research efforts in the broad areas of soft robotics and surgical robotics with applications in beating heart valve repair. Qualified applicants should respond by email as soon as possible to Prof. Tommaso Ranzani (******) with a description of their qualifications, academic background, Ph.D. thesis, publications, career goals, and availability. They should include pdf's of up to three relevant publications. Names of up to three contacts for recommendation letters should be provided. Initial appointments will be for one year with the possibility of extension. The preferred start date is October 2024.
Required Skills
* PhD required.
* Prior experience in soft robotics and surgical robotics is required.
* A background in modeling and control of soft robots is strongly recommended.
* Experience with animal experiments and the ability to work collaboratively with clinicians is helpful.
